Martin Powell

Martin Powell, studied biochemistry before travelling and working extensively in Asia, where he developed a deep interest in traditional healing systems. He later trained in Traditional Chinese Medicine in London, Taipei and Shanghai. His work with medicinal mushrooms began in the early 1990s while studying Qi Gong in Taipei and has since grown into decades of research, clinical use and education. Martin is the author of Medicinal Mushrooms: A Clinical Guide and Medicinal Mushrooms: The Essential Guide, and founder of MycoNutri. Today he focuses on education and collaboration, sharing knowledge about the therapeutic potential of medicinal mushrooms and helping practitioners better understand their traditional use and modern applications.
