Mould Illness: Mechanisms, Clinical Patterns, and Management

Mould is an under-recognised driver of complex, multi-system chronic disease. This session explores how exposure to mould and associated biotoxins can disrupt immune regulation, neurological function, endocrine signalling, and detoxification pathways, contributing to persistent, multi-layered symptom patterns and the characteristic clinical presentations seen in affected individuals.

Meet your host

Dr Anita Wasik

Dr Anita Wasik is a biomedical scientist and medical herbalist specialising in complex, multi-system chronic illness through a root-cause, systems-based approach. Her work integrates science, herbal wisdom, and subtle system regulation. She has a particular interest in environmentally driven illness and the role of external and internal stressors in persistent, treatment-resistant symptom patterns. Dr Wasik’s approach has been shaped by her own long-term health journey, which deepened her commitment to understanding healing beyond conventional frameworks. This perspective informs her ability to work with both the physiological and less tangible dimensions of chronic illness in a grounded and structured way. She is an author, speaker, and podcast co-host, and has presented at national and international conferences, health summits, and media platforms.
